April 5, 2007 was a special night for the Region 14 Referees and their guest: dinner at the Depot. It's Region 14 way of saying "thank you" to our referees for giving time to help make AYSO soccer successful.

Awards & Recognitions

The Iron Man Award went to Jim Nokes with 53 games. The Iron Man award is given to the individual who completes the most amount of games in the region.
The Bronze Man Award was presented to Greg Wintroub. The Bronze Man Award is given to the referee who referees the most amount of upper division games. Greg refereed 25+ upper division games.

The Four Star Award is given to the referee who completes the most amount of games in the four lower divisions. Region 14 is proud to announce two recipients of this award:  Jack Hailwood, 1 U8 – 21 U10 – 8 U12 -- 4 U14 for a total of 34 games and Randy Lubs, 3 U8 – 11 U10 – 10 U12 -- 1 U14 for a total of  25 games.
Outstanding New Referee Recognition recognizes  Doug Young who completed 19 games.
Youth Iron Man Award was given to Miles Dawson, 29 games.

Outstanding New Pro Referees. Region 14 is proud to recognize three pro referees as our outstanding new referees. Each referee completed 9 games in the regular season: Michael Hailwood, Mari Mocega and Keegan Wild.

Bob Kircher presents Rob Horwich with a thank you gift from the staff. Rob also received the Head Honcho Honker, the next generation in a multi-function whistle. It features an ear splitting whistle, compass, emergency signal device and thermometer (when you are hot... you're hot!).
